The cost of owning a home was being misrepresented.
Homebuyers are taught to evaluate affordability through a single number—the mortgage—while ignoring rental income, tax effects, and multi-unit dynamics. The result is a buying decision based on incomplete math.
Affordability was a systems problem, not a calculator problem.
To make multi-unit ownership legible to everyday buyers, we had to redefine what “monthly cost” actually means—and design a product that could compute and explain it transparently, in real time.
I am the founding product designer shaping Series’ MVP—from onboarding and financial modeling to interactive results and pre-qualification flows. I partner closely with the CEO and engineering to define the product logic, user mental model, and visual system from first principles.
